It's a good thing Gracie's cute
I couldn't find Gracie after I slept for a couple hours (I drove all night and got to Columbus at 6:30) I started looking and heard muffled meows. She had managed to get between the ceiling and floor in the one single place she could squeeze her little tabby self into. A few hours later, she finally came out on her own. I thought I was going to have to take apart a 160 year old house to get my cat out. ;)

2. I had to do that once
I had a cat who hit her kittens in the attic. Then one day she came down carrying kitten after kitten and looking quite upset. She stopped after 4 kittens but we knew there were 5 and that's when we heard the squeaking in the walls. :eyes:

The poor little guy had crawled over to the eaves and tumbled down between the framing. Luckily, he got hung up on something but we had to tear a hole in a bedroom wall to get him out.

4. When our tabby first came to us, she had been used to squeezing herself under things.
She could get herself into the tightest places too. Luckily she is a very social creature and couldnt resist coming out for some loving.

5. Gracie needs some kitty Xanax
She's a mess. She'll calm down once the furniture's unloaded and it feels and smells like home.

6. poor Gracie
She keeps trying to run away from this moving thing. I hope she finds a cozy and accessible comfort zone. :)

7. She's curled up on the bed with me
Unfortunately, it's not over yet. The Pods will be delivered tomorrow and a crew is coming to unload them on Thursday. Oh, and Lelapin (who Gracie is convinced exists to torture her...) is coming home for a few days.

;)

She'll be okay - eventually. Poor kitty.

8. When Tommycat went missing the day we moved, he
didn't show up until well AFTER the boarding place was closed, so we had to smuggle him into our hotel room. Put the litter box in the bathroom, fed him, all was well, turned out the light.

In the morning? No Tommy. OH MY GOD WHERE IS HE? No Tommy anywhere, we were far away from home, I was so afraid he'd somehow (but how?) gotten out. Took the place apart; finally found him inside the bed frame. He'd found a spot at the back of the bed to climb into; basically he'd crawled thru (somehow?) the tiny gap between the box springs and the frame to huddle under us all night.

She's been playing too much hide and seek this week, lizzie! I hope she can relax and mellow out a bit... so you can relax, too. :)

9. Gracie's done the bed thing too!
When I moved to Wisconsin last summer, I had to spend two nights in a motel with the cats. She got under the bed and wouldn't come out. I thought I was going to have to take apart a motel bed to get her out. Euwwww...

14. It was a rough night here
Once the furniture's in and it starts to look/smell like home to her, I'm hoping she'll calm down - ALOT!

12. That's what we always said about our daughter when she was a toddler.
Man, she came out with a 'tude, but she sure was/is cute.

My kitties -- I'd forgive them for anything. :loveya:

Glad Gracie came out. :hi:

13. Me too, on all counts
Lelapin had a 'tude but was adorable, the cats always get a pass and Gracie's still visible. :)
