What childhood "phases" did you never grow out of?

Phases in quotes, because, obviously, you can't call it a phase if it has become a permanent fixture of your life.

For me, I am still a night person. My mother was so certain that my habit of staying up extremely late, regardless of when I had to wake up, would abate in high school...later in college...then in grad school...then as a teacher...

I'm 32, and I don't think my mother has ever completely accepted the fact that I have always thought midnight was a perfectly reasonable time to start working on a paper or grading homework. She was certain that after years of 5 or 6 hours of sleep per night during the week I would finally just say "no more" and start going to bed at normal times. I'm simply not wired that way.
