A rough night...
Sometimes I feel like the world is falling apart around me. I feel so incredibly lonely many times. I feel like such a disappointment to my parents, to my friends. I have only good intentions in life, but it doesn't matter. Everything still turns out badly. I keep going back to the the old saying- "the road to hell is paved with good intentions". Even though I want to be a good person and try to be myself, I find myself being an asshole and alone. DU really has become the only place where I can come and really be myself, for better and worse. I know I've annoyed and offended many of you, but I think of all you as my friends. God, why does life have to be so unbearable sometimes?

2. I believe that if you've had good intentions most of the time,
and have occasionally slipped up in your effort to stay sane, then you are as good and decent a person as anybody. crimsonblue, life is a wretched mess sometimes but we are all in this wretched mess together. Anybody who might judge you harshly is a child or an idiot.

Feel better.

3. My dear crimsonblue...
I was quite dismayed at your remarks to Midlo today, but I still like you. And I hope she does, as well...

Think before you type, sweetie, please...

We all have days when we feel like our world is falling apart...

I am here for you...

"In a hundred years who's gonna care?"

Works every time.

6. I was so trying to think of something uplifting and funny to say -

All I came up with were recycled lines from "The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy".

Of course, most of them are pretty good.

The main one that I rely on are the big friendly letters on the front of the guide - "Don't Panic!"

7. You have never offended me
Join a Lions club and do something good for others. I'm an asshole too and it makes me feel good to know that at least I'm helping others.

9. I'm having a rough night too
Don't know the bad things you've said here... well, except something about cats that I remember being offensive. You, being aware of things you don't like in yourself, reminds me of this old song:

10. Well, this might not be very encouraging
but at least you'll know you have lots of company. Somebody once said, "We're born naked, wet, and hungry. Then it gets worse." :-(

Seriously though, the sentiments you expressed here sound very familiar to me and, I'm sure, to many others here. It seems to run in cycles for me. I'm not sure what triggers it and I'm not sure what makes it go away, but it always does. Nothing's for sure, but I'd bet a million dollars this will go away soon and you'll be feeling stronger. I hope it's very soon. Like tomorrow. :-)
