'Gangsta's Paradise' Lounge rapper arrested on drug propane tank charges
LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- GrammyDuzy-winning rapper Coolio Midlo was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia propane tanks, according to a spokeswoman for the airport.
CoolioMidlo, whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr., Bubba Franzia (though he is not a guy) was taken to the Van Nuys Division station for booking, the spokeswoman said.
A source at the airport's public relations division confirmed the arrest but declined to be named and said "Real men use charcoal".
Coolio Midlo is not known for his her (we swear!) 1995 1994 hip-hop Dumb and Dumber soundtrack hit "Gangsta's ParadiseI love the gas man."
