1. I have never seen an entire show with Conan, so I guess I'll
skip Jimmy for a few years, too.

2. I watched on and off, and it seemed really awkward
He was fawning way too much over De Niro, you could even see it in De Niro's face. "Is there a question in there?"
Having said that, it is only the 1st show and it takes a while to settle into a groove, a cadence.
Lots of A List guests this week to draw the viewers in, but that won't last long if he doesn't find his "thing"

11. That interview was so painfully awkward, I had to turn away after
a few minutes. Fallon could not ask an intelligent question to save his life.

And that was after the fall-flat monologue and the unfunny licking game.

I'm not sure what Fallon was trying for, but my guess is...last night wasn't it.

3. I don't understand the pick of Fallon.
He doesn't have any hosting experience. Granted, neither did Conan, but Conan was bursting with talent and imagination. Fallon? not so much.

Joel McHale from The Soup would have been a much better choice, in my opinion.

5. Craig Ferguson rules!
Ferguson is great - I've never found Fallon to be funny, don't expect that to change now.

9. IIRC Conan sucked at first too.
That said, I love Craig Ferguson, and I tend to bounce between him and Jimmy Kimmel.

12. Yes, Conan sucked big time at first.
But time and talent eventually made that show good.

Fallon needs more time, but I really don't think he has the talent.

18. It took Conan a good year, maybe two, before the show started
to get really funny, and after that, it became my favorite of the late-night shows by far!

10. I didn't watch Fallon
but I really enjoy Craig Ferguson. I couldn't stand Conan, so at least I know I still won't be wasting time watchin' nbc.
