So we had this baby....

When my son's girlfriend became pregnant, they decided that come what may, it didn't matter what she had as long as he/she was healthy. Having said that...

At 4 months she had an ultrasound. They were unable to determine the sex of the baby.

At 7 months she had another ultrasound. The Technician was 90% positive it was a girl. Much rejoicing and buying of girl clothes ensued.

Fast forward to Friday. Baby arrived and...well...

It's a Boy!

I knew we should have gotten more unisex stuff instead of frilly stuff. Oh well. He's a sweetie.

My brother had this happen TWO times. Once with a daughter (supposed to be a son) and then with his son. My nephew slept in purple flowers for the first year.

Similar story here too: my son Nicolas was a girl up until about 3 weeks before he was born. Since it was around Christmas, gifts were given to "Baby Emma" (Emma was to be her ... er... his name). There was a medical reason why they couldn't sex our son: birth defect.

I hope baby and mother are all doing well.
