The first harbingers of spring! Really brightened my day. :)

1. Pretty bird

I don't think I've ever seen one of those.

2. They are really pretty birds, and common here. (PA)

They are about the first to arrive here, to be followed by the grackles, cowbirds, robins, and gold finches within a few weeks.
Two of them have been stuffing themselves at the feeder since this morning.

So even though it looks like winter will never end.... it will. Eventually! :)
