Excuse me...but......low carb BEER???

It seems to me that if one is THAT concerned about their diet, perhaps ALL beer could be eliminated..

This low carb crap is going to be just like the low fat (remember olestra..the super duper pooper inducer??)

I cannot believe that our "better living through chemistry" phase is continuing..

All this stuff does is drive good products off the grocery shelves, because "everyone" wants to try the new stuff.. People have got to learn that cakes, cookies, chips, and yes...even beer are all things to be eaten in MODERATION...and OCCASIONALLY..

There is NO MAGIC SECRET.. No MAGIC FOOD...
All of these chmically "tweaked" frankenfoods are doing our bodies harm, and the manufacturers will never be taken to task, because they come out with these things so often, there will be no way to trace any future illnesses to any one item..

They are in it for the bucks.. plain and simple.. I cannot believe the crap I see people feeding their kids...

Think about this.. Baby-boomers had real food for the first 20 or so years of their lives.. Oldsters had real food for the first 30-45 years of their lives..

The children of boomers (and younger) have had "enhanced" foods their whole lives..

Look at which generation has a very long life expectancy.. Sure ..medical advances have helped the oldsters live in better health, but look at how the younger people are getting diseases at ever-earlier ages..

The life expectancy is predicted to FALL for our children.. Food HAS to be a contributing factor.. It's the ONE thing we all have in common

fruits, vegetables, grains. Then came GM food, and the magic is becoming obsolete.

A different effect of chem-food is earlier maturation in girls, boys growing larger, etc. I don't think that can be healthy in the long run; it's like speeding up the entire life cycle.

8. I'm not sure that is even true

I'm no expert on this, but I do know that Vodka has 70 calories per ounce. These calories must be from something, I doubt it is fat or protein, I think it is probably carbohydrate. I knoe that diabetics are told not to drink because it is bad for their blood sugar. If anyone out here knows a lot about this, could they tell me if alcohol is a carbohydrate.

It really is faster to fix, is cheaper (in the long run especially) and is what your body was intended to have..

I have friends who are AMAZED that I made them a scratch birthday cake.. They will bring people over and say.. "She made it from scratch".. Like I have located the holy grail or something..

If people shop sales and have a freezer and a pantry closet, they never ever need to buy packaged mixes.. I get ground round (close to 100% lean) for as little as $1.39 lb.. I wait until london broils are on sale, and I have the meat department grind them for me

Even pizza is better when made from scratch,and you can have whatever you want as toppings

I'd have to live in the car! My place is tiny, yet I manage to eat real food and even make the occasional cake from scratch. Fixing it is hassle in this microscopic kitchen, though!
