It should be a crime for purchased DVDs to start with nigh-inescapable previews
Edited on Sun Feb-15-09 03:20 PM by Orrex
I own half a dozen or so on which this is the case. They were bought new, so it's not as though they were rental DVDs that could justify the previews, either.

Okay, it's possible to get past the previews, but not with one click. If there are five previews plus one PSA, it takes six clicks to get to the main display menu. And you can't just go click-click-click-click-click-click, either; you have to wait for each successive preview to start before you can zip through it. This is particularly annoying when trying to start a DVD quickly so that I can close the cabinet before my two-year-old's questing fingers get hold of the electronics.

Do I really need to see the trailer for Mr. and Mrs. Smith every time I load my DVD?

2. I agree with you.
Let me hit the menu button, please! Don't make me "next" through ten previews. You're right - you've paid for this movie and shouldn't have to screw around trying to GET to the movie.

4. I only have one 'menu' key, and it does nothing until I'm past the previews
Good point about interpol, though. That warning has been on movies since the days of Beta, and in all that time no one has read it.
