Saturday morning CATFIGHT! Faye Dunaway vs. Hilary Duff over "Bonnie and Clyde" remake
While the remake of the 1967 film, Bonnie and Clyde was just announced, it looks like there's a battle brewing between the old and the new.

Responding to the casting of Hilary Duff to reprise Faye Dunaway's role as the original Bonnie, the Hollywood Legend's alleged response was, "couldn't they at least cast a real actress?"

According to E Online on Wednesday, the War Inc. actress is responding to Dunaway's diss, "I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don't even know who she is." Duff went on to say, "I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now, too."

1. Self-important little bitch.
Why make a remake anyways? What happened to imagination?

3. Oh come on, they both are "self important"
It is just ridiculous - do you recall Katherine Hepburn making a fuss about Grace Kelly remaking one of her classic roles?

Hollywood remakes are as much a part of the culture as are the catty comments of actors.

6. Grace Kelly was no actress, Katherine Hepburn WAS.
:)

Yes, I know Faye is a Diva, but she made a good point.

8. Alfred Hitchcock disagreed with you about Grace Kelly.
And that is besides the point of my post. Hepburn never complained when Kelly remade her role, she knew that remakes are part of the movie making culture.

2. Key phrase:
"my fans that are going to go see the movie"

5. As long as they don't remake Mommie Dearest, Faye's legacy is safe.

Joan Crawford's ghost is probably pissed at Faye for horning in on her act though.

14. Maybe Faye should go after Hilary with some serious makeup remover.
Now that's a fight worth seeing.

9. Corporate starlots are the future (is that 'starlet' or 'harlot star'? Oh well)

Just look good with a bleach job, get a boob job, know how to prance, and have a wi-fi enabled microphone so the computer can modify your voice.

Hollywuss loves to press home the same brat-oriented garbage with virtually no alternatives these days.

Thank goodness for DVD.
