My grandfather used to take me to this old-timey barber shop in North Cambridge to get my boys' regular.

We used to arrive about an hour before the shop opened because my papa didn't want to wait in line for a hair cut. :rofl:
We were always the first ones there and while we waited that hour for Phil the barber to arrive, several other old men would arrive to wait behind us so they didn't have to wait in line either. :rofl:

I'm at the end of the line, a tall, thin teenager, and that's my dad in the background with the chair.

This picture was taken at about 10PM. It was August, so a bit late for the true midnight sun, but I recall that the sun set at 10 or 10:30. At about midnight, we left on an overnight boat trip back to Trondheim. I slept in a bunk that faced a porthole, and I was awakened at 2AM by the first light of dawn.
