9. Completely illegal here
although the penalties for possession are quite low. Something weird seems to happen to politician's brains when it comes to drugs (and not by taking them) and they just can't seem to bring themselves to do what is obviously the right thing.

If we believe the news papers it would actually seem that many politicians have used drugs. Alcohol, which ruins so many lives, perfectly legal, but MJ, which can be a quality of life saver for some, remains illegal in so many areas.
