2. I used to have to do that with my father's 1964 MGB.
The syncro was worn out on second gear and you had to do that to downshift from third to second. It was always fun, even if sometimes it didn't quite mesh :P

3. Those wacky Brits!
I had an '65 Austin Healey 3000 that would randomly jump out of gear. Any gear, any speed. Made for exciting driving in San Francisco! Good times.:)

That just makes me think of Bill Cosby talking about driving in San Francisco, too and always managing to burn out the clutches! :D

I hope you didn't have any bad close-calls when that happened...

5. No worries, brakes were good...
tires were fair.:rofl:

Worse though was my '70 Challenger with a 440 six pack. That thing would overheat just thinking about going to the City.:rofl:
