and Howl's moving castle.

I like it better than Princess Mononoke, though I'm in a minority.

13. Gomorrah, an italian movie( with subtitles) about the Naples
Edited on Wed Jan-21-09 01:34 PM by jonnyblitz
mafia which won the 2008 Grand Prix award at Cannes. It is based on a book which was translated into English which i also read.

http://www.gomorrahmovie.co.uk /.

I also saw an amusing/sad spanish gay themed movie called "Cachorro"(Bear Cub) from 2004.

it is the first gay movie I ever saw that was non-porn that featured "bears" instead of muscle boys or twinks. it is about a gay bear guy in Madrid who starts out watching his young nephew for a few weeks while his sister travels in India but she gets busted for drugs and imprisoned there and he ends up with the kid much longer than a few weeks and fights for custody of him with the evil grandmother.

17. The Descent
It was a pretty good flick. Brawls, beasts and all.

There were some flaws in the landscape, but other than that it had the feel of where I live.

37. When I first heard about that I was hoping it was based on the book by Jeff Long.
But no. :(

The book was insane. A high tech trip to Hell, and Hell visits us as well. :)

The movie looked ok anyways, but I haven't seen it yet.

it kinda grew on me. Still a strange movie though.

Oh, did you think Ralph Fiennes voice sounded like the Geico gekko?

34. Last movie I watched
The last movie I watched was 'Pretty in Pink',and I swear,
I have seen this movie at least 100 times.(Courtesy of TBS)

I luv the 80's teen flicks, and it's too bad that movies
nowadays are not able to catch that kind of realness anymore.

And poor Molly Ringwald, she was such a talent, but her career
was more or less over after the few movies she did for
director/writer John Hughes.

I also recently watched Weird Science.

And although this movie seems to exploit women,it was
kind of funny for the time.

I did grow up in the 80's,so I do have an excuse for liking
these sorts of films.lol
