Once in a while it's good to be reminded why I live where I do.
We're in the lovely little town of Melrose, MA.
Visiting our daughter's family and the grandkids.
It's lovely here in Spring, Summer, and Fall.
But right now it's 20 degrees and snowing.

We live in coastal Alabama, where it doesn't take us 20 minutes to suit up if we want to go somewhere in winter.
And we don't need a big plastic drain tray inside the back door for snowy boots.
I no longer own a snow shovel.
Or an ice scraper/snow brush for the car.

I spent 15 years in New England and enjoyed it, for the most part.
I've now lived 16 years on the Redneck Riviera.
I'll take the Riviera.
;-)

1. Get back to us in August!
I'll gladly shovel if it means I can skip three and a half months of 95 and humid!

2. The humidity was a killer for me
I grew up in northern VA and went to Mississippi State my freshman year of college. It's humid in VA in the summer too, but in the winter? That's what I really couldn't stand. Everyone else was bundled up and I'm wearing short sleeves due to the humidity. Plus I like some snow, though I'm not sure I'd like the NE amount of snow. I guess I live in the right place for me as well.

Was the humidity that noticeable for you too and did it take very long to get used to it? I wasn't in that part of the country that long.
