Need help with my CD player
When I put in a CD and close the door, it opens and pushes the CD right out again. Does anyone know why and/or how to fix it?

1. What type of CD are you attempting to play?

5. Just a regular music CD.
I ordered this from a catalog last summer, but didn't set it up until last month. It's one of those that looks like an old radio and will play records, tapes and CDs (only the CD player won't work!). I don't think I can return it after all this time, and it was expensive. Can the CD player part be replaced like the CD ROM on my computer?

7. I've tried several CDs, and it does the same thing with
all of them. Sometimes it even opens by itself when there's no CD in there.

8. Seems like there is a defect or a problem with the lens.
And it probably isn't a piece that you can replace with ease.

Does the system have "Audio In" imputs?

15. Does it eject immediately, or does it attempt to read the disc before
it ejects?

If it's going in and popping right back out without stopping to read the disc, it's likely a foreign object has gotten into the tray mechanism. Usually when the tray drive senses resistance it automatically reverses. If it accepts the disc, spins up, and ejects after a failure to read the pickup could be dirty, or the pickup has simply failed. What is the make and model of the player?
