So I finally got around to seeing 'Kung Fu Panda'
Despite hearing good things about it, I didn't have very high expectations because I can't stand Jack Black.
Surprisingly...it was very good. It was funny, surprisingly moving at times, and overall very well done. It looked fantastic, sounded fantastic, and Black was actually pretty good. I think he may be better suited to voice acting, now that I think about it. :P
Oh, and the storyline surrounding the main villain I found kind of heartbreaking, and surprisingly kind of deep for a kid's movie. Anyway, it was much better than I expected, in fact, it was great. It wasn't my favorite movie of 2008 (sorry, Wall-E and Dark Knight were better), but that doesn't take away from how good it really was.
I recommend it.

2. good movie
and, they had some pretty big stars in some smaller roles as well...like Angelina Jolie & Jackie Chan

If you know a bit of Chinese, "Shifu" is the Chinese word for Master, so Master Shifu was really "Master Master" And, Oogway, is turtle, so I knew that when they mentioned Master Oogway, that he'd be a turtle.
