I made it through Christmas, amazingly. (And no, this is NOT an anti-Christmas post).

I'd been telling my sons lately that all I wanted for Christmas was a peaceful day in the house and the great Christmas dinner that Mrs R was planning for us and the next-door neighbors (she splurged on a Prime Rib to cook on the rotisserie).

I got what I wanted. A nice quiet day, and even though I've not been eating very much lately, that last bit of Prime Rib that Mrs R gave me was pure, indisputable Essence of Beef. Oh, yes. We don't eat beef very frequently, so we enjoy it when we do, no offence meant to my Veegan friends.

But I stayed awake for it all; the presents for the kids, and the dinner with the neighbors. Never thought I'd consider doing that stuff a victory, but it sure felt like one today.

I am SO weary. I have to go now.

3. Me too, RS. It managed to be a pretty nice day despite the household strife
because I just stayed busy and happy that my family was together for it for possibly the last time--no anxiety this time, just family love.

I'm more than okay this AM and my son got me and him a GREAT puppy! Pics to come.

Love to you, my friend.
