Another Christmas Eve

drunk. I only hang ome on once a year on Christmas Eve. This started 25 years ago when my dad and I got drunk together for the first time. He wasn't a big drinker either. We drank Jack Daniels straight and passed out in the living room. Every year agter that we got loaded on some hard liquor. I remember 1999 we drank Glenlivet, I turned him on to single malt scotch. He choked it down but I could tell he didn't like it until about our 5th shot. My dad died September 19, 2000. I seldom think of it on September 19, I always think of him on Christmas eve. So tonight like every christmas eve since his death I have cried a little, smiled a few times and will ultimatly pass out here where i am sitting. Wish I was sharing this one with him...
