We'd like to adopt a family this Christmas

1. Find a local Christmas Clearinghouse

They'll give you names and ages, you can contact a parent and get a wish list.

We adopted 40 local families at work.

2. The Catholic Social Services does family adoptions locally

We're not sure how to go about helping an individual family. :shrug:

3. Well, like I said, the organization that we work with, Christmas Clearinghouse,

gives us as many families as we can help.

They work with businesses and organizations to adopt the families. It's wonderful.

4. We're doing that, in conjunction with MrSG's job.

They always adopt a family (I believe they get the referral from a local community agency). MrSG is getting some gifts for the kids, and I'm doing a huge gift basket, with good-for-them-food, as well as some popcorn and a gift card for Blockbuster or some other video place, as they like watching movies.
