I have a paper thief in my yard.

Soon, (I won't say which morning, don't want to tip them off), I'm setting up the video camera to catch the paper thief in the act.

If I find out it is human, I'm setting up a pea shooter of some sort tied to the paper. So, if they move it, they are getting shot with a pea shooter. I gotta find some appropriate "peas" for that operation. I wish I could tie a bucket of water over their head without it being noticeable. That'd teach 'em. Thing is, right now it's below freezing at night and the water would just freeze. That wouldn't work.

If it is an animal, well...the newspaper office is bringing us a box soon anyhow. I won't "shoot" animals.

2. I would enjoy that so much.

I wish there was a way to tie a string to the paper and let them trigger it themselves. The only thing is, I need to make sure they don't see me set up the trap. They must be watching our house to know that we go to bed late. The window of time when they are stealing the paper is so small. That's disturbing in some ways. That means they are actually a little more pevvy than I am.

I have already decided, that if it is a critter, the box will probably fix the problem. If it's human, God help them. :evilgrin:

4. How are you sure it is being delivered properly?

maybe it was never there.

5. We've called and worked it out with our carrier.

It turns out he is really delivering it, but between 5 am (when he delivers it) and 10 am(when I go out to get it), somebody or something is getting it. On the days we are up at that time, we get it. On the days when we are asleep, it gets gone...somehow.
