| I have a computer issue...could use some help |
|
Recently I had to reinstall my Windows XP format disk due to a problem I had. Everything is fine now, except I can't change the resolution! I clicked on display and settings but can't seem to adjust the slider ( I click on the thing...it's not moving ) Right now, this type is pretty big, and annoying too.
Any suggestions?

| 1. Sounds like the graphics driver is not correctly installed |

Right-click My Computer, go to Manage, then click Device Manager - you may see a bunch of stuff listed with yellow exclamation marks meaning the drivers need to be installed. Look under "Display adapters" - if you see an item with that yellow exclamation mark then XP is using the very basic default driver. I would advise getting the drivers from the manufacturer site and then installing them. You should be able to then change the resolution.
