Poll question: Neil Diamond or Barry Manilow?
If you could only attend one show...

Sorry, polls are turned off at Level 3.

7. He also gets points for writing "I'm a Believer"
even if it was recorded by a fake made-for-TV band. Amazing song.

5. And I didn't mean cast asparagus on your Barry post
I have always linked these two performers together in my mind because two of my closest friends in college used to argue over who was better. Of the two, I have only seen Neil live, and I have to admit that he's an amazing performer.

12. I like old Neil Diamond quite a bit. Hot August Night is still a great live recording.
Barry seems like a swell guy and all, but I'll take Neil's music any day.

Neil Diamond . . . . <<sigh!>> I loved him when he was young, I love him when he's old, both his voices.

Not to mention he was DROP DEAD gorgeous!

Pretty much anything he recorded on UNI records. After that label got swallowed up by MCA, both Neil and Elton John seemed to go downhill.

Never cared for Barry Manilow at all.

25. I'm agnostic on the whole scenario
I voted for Neil though because he wrote some good songs as opposed to Barry who wrote the songs that made the whole world sing...
