I just found out that our clients have had such a tight year this year that they are being very tight with payments to our company. That means our consulting firms is very tight with money. So no money for Christmas bonuses this year.
Nada. Nothing. Zip. x(
I was hoping for a last check as I go out the door on disability. It would have helped immensely. :(
Once of my coworkers has a newborn baby and his wife is not working, so they are on reduced income. I know this hurts them a lot too.
They changed our bonus payout schedule at work - essentially it's been cut. However this pay period they did a nice extra cut. No bonus at all for me either.
I was getting a nice extra $200 a paycheck. Not any more.
Just to relate... Unfortunately the new management at my last job decided to forego the bonus thing too before they decided to let loose their most experienced highest paid personnel. That was in August 2007. I called them a few weeks ago to make sure my references were still good and found out they were closing the Portland plant. Of course the management had new offices in the suburbs because they have to look good presenting their new made in China product...turns out they hired a new in-house designer at less than what I made and I get so mad thinking about it my eyes cross and I don't wanna talk about it anymore x(
Sorry to hear that your company is unable to give it's employees bonuses, but there are many places that never gave them out in the first place, mine included. But truthfully, I don't mind. I work for a non-profit and would rather the dollars go to someone else.
