Poll question: Blaster or Lightsaber?

(Just remember that the Lightsaber comes with an extra helping of the Force)

1. Blaster...
I like to inflict harm from a safe distance ;)

2. Lightsaber
It's not as clumsy or random as a blaster. An elegant weapon for a more civilized age. It's also very handy in the kitchen.

3. Lightsaber of course.
The choice is really between something for shooting stuff and something that is many times more useful.

4. Puts me in mind of when Indiana Jones faced off the Baddie with the saber.
And we all know who won.

6. Who won when Han Solo tried to shoot Darth Vader with a blaster?
Yeah, that's what I thought.

11. George Lucas is a douche.
I'm just sayin, though, Darth Vader stopped blaster fire with his HAND. I think a Jedi or a Sith Lord has some advantages over a random swarthy guy who can do a few tricks with a sword.

5. Lightsaber, no contest
What clinched it? That scene in "The Phantom Menace" where Qui-Gon started sawing his way through the blast door on the trade fed cruiser. It's not just an elegant weapon, it's a galactic Gerber tool

7. A lightsaber + the Force FTW.
You won't kill a Jedi 1 vs. 1 with a blaster. Unless you're a Fett.

8. Apparently, the light saber makes you invincible if you're Luke, Yoda,
Obi-wan, or Darth (the rest of the saber-wavers seemed like pretty juicy blaster targets). Since I'm not one of those dudes, give me a blaster...

Or even better, since I live in reality-world and not nerd-fantasy-world, I'll take something along the lines of an AR-15 or a P220 or a baseball bat. :P

13. That's a non-debatable fact, of course!
However, if we limit our analysis to episodes IV - VI, it still remains that there is a non-trivial absence of saber-users aside from the ones mentioned. It's possible that they all died of old age, or were each individually felled by Vader in saber-on-saber combat, but logic suggests that in fact it was blaster-on-saber combat that eradicated most of the Jedi. Ergo, I choose a blaster. :)

15. Well, even in Episode III most of the Jedi were done in by being shot in the back...
by many, many people at once.

12. If it's just a question of a a deadly fight
I'll take the blaster...but the Light saber is the better all around handy tool ;)
