Does anyone have a valium or 5? Two hours of straight nonstop crying.

It has been one of those days. I just bought a $26 bottle of Jose Quervo Golden premix margarita today that just fell to the floor unopened. Busted. I should've just thrown that $26 out the window. Not to mention ALL of the glass that I had to rush the dogs outside to avoid. Then I spilled a beer all over the computer. Is tomorrow here yet?

2. I almost wanted to encourage the dogs to drink it so it at least wouldn't be
a complete waste. :)

Everyone of us!!!

She has been extra fussy the past couple of days though. Maybe she senses the madness of Thanksgiving! :P

4. Ohhh I remember those days
Gives new meaning to "good thing they're cute", no?

Mr. MG read somewhere that showing a newborn a light would make it stop crying, so he'd always hold MG Jr. up to our kitchen ceiling light.

Didn't work worth a damn.

I think newborns sometimes get pissed that they're out in the world and they want to be back in the safe, warm, sloshy womb. So they get vocal.

Hang in there. It gets easier.

8. I took her into her room and and turned out the lights and
rocked her in our awesome squishey recliner. I almost fell asleep.

6. I'm sorry. LK had some epic colic, so I've been there and I know it sucks.

It'll get better. Can you get somebody to take her for a few hours so you can go have a little time to yourself? Sometimes that's real important for your sanity as a Mom, some time to go be yourself and not a Mom for a few hours.

11. No joke! I am lucky that I can take her to work with me, but, at the
same time, that gives me no break. My husband pretty much takes over when he gets home (even though those are her sleeping hours), but the weekends are kind of my time to myself. I mean I am still here and take back over when my husband just doesn't have that mama magical touch, but he gets up through the night and lets me sleep in. He is such a sweetie. I really praise single parents. It is hard enough with 2 of us. I can't imagine doing it by myself.

10. Oh my dear, I remember those days.
My youngest son in particular, thought nothing of a three or four hour cry, and when I say, "thought nothing of" I mean, he foamed at the mouth it was so violent, but nothing soothed him. NOTHING. He is now a perfectly marvellous if demanding nine-year-old.

Hang on. I did on occasion put a pillow over my head so I could sleep through the crying, and they not only survived but they thrived!

P.S. Sorry about the booze!

14. Luckily I don't think she has colic. She is almost 3 months
and that is when colic starts subsiding for most babies. She has just been really fussy this week. I am hoping she isn't getting sick.

I feel soooo sorry for people who have colicky babies. That has got to be one of the hardest things to endure. I feel bad for even complaining because it has just been this week. My friend's baby was so colicky when he was a baby that he cried for 8 to 12 hours out of the day. Talk about going insane. Plus feeling so bad that there isn't anything you can do to make your baby feel better.
