and goes on drinking binges where he is a real jerk. I drove down the highway going to the hospital but he was being so manic and loud and touching me, (not inappropriately but causing it hard to drive) and I knew I just could not take him anymore so I pulled off the highway and said I wanted to get a waffle from Waffle Hut. When we were there I went to the bathroom and called 911 and asked if a police person could take him because driving with him was getting dangerous.
So after about 20 minutes, (mostly with me on the phone and occasionally sneaking out to find out where exactly where we were,), about 5 officers came and it was obvious to them that something was wrong with my house-mate, (I complained about another house-mate in the lounge several months ago. She moved out so I am not talking about her. This guy was renting down the street and asked if he could rent from me and I said yes.
They asked him, (as did I) if he was suicidal and he just put this head down and started to cry, (same response when I asked me at the house before he agreed to get help. I can't believe how relived I feel. I hope he gets the help he needs. I can't handle someone binge drinking and then getting manic and loud and talking in circles and going off of tangents. I personally can't afford to lose one more marble and I was starting to lose it.
So that's just a story. If you think someone is mentally ill offer them help. I think a lot of times people don't know how to help themselves.
