A business did a kind thing for me yesterday !! - I was amazed!!

I've been moving all week and was trying to sell my washer and dryer and had a buyer and the day of the sale, the washer Shit-The-Bed. :grr: So, as I can't have a W/D at my new place; I had to figure out how to get rid of them and discovered that the Used Auto Parts/recycling yard will crush/recycle them for $25.00 each. So, as I had a truck rental with a lift, I grudgingly loaded them on the truck (my son and his friend did that) and I drove them down there with my last $60.00 in my pocket and I was afraid to back that big truck into the place; so the guy in the yard did that for me while snickering at me in a good way and he helped me get them off the truck and then said I was all done. I thought he meant that I should go back in the office to pay the fee and I did and when I went to the window, the clerk said, "Did you need something else?" And I said, "Yes. What do I owe you?" and he said; "We're cool. You are all set!" :wow: I told him he was the first person all week that I had encountered that didn't have his hand out and he laughed and I thanked him profusely! How cool was that; that they did that!?!

Did they know you were feeling broke? Are you gorgeous? Is it possible that they can fix them and sell them? No matter, having help when you really need it from people you don't even know, that is very cool.

5. I am not gorgeous anymore and I don't know if they knew I might have been broke. But I'm sure

they knew by looking at me that I was distraught and tired and nervous driving that huge truck, especially backing it in right next to the building. It really made my day, what they did. I was sooo tired and fed up with it all. Maybe they picked up on that? But I did buy a car part from them last week and when I went in yesterday, I said to the guy that ordered that part for me in a joking way, "Hi there. Remember me? The tail light cover? How do you like my new wheels?" in a joking way, referring to the truck rental. :P Maybe they took pity on me? What ever it was, it was very cool! :D
