Poll question: OKAY DU'ers - I'M PLACING MY FUTURE IN YOUR HANDS . . .
IF McCain/Palin (choke) win/steal this election - which country would be my best option of taking up residency?

7. Mexico....
On the Baja...
We've been kind of looking into it, anyway. Trouble is...some of the
disgruntled McCaint/Pailin rejects may want to move into the
Condo/Communities down there and we want to escape them....not roomy with them.

11. AFAIK Icelands' bankrupt (well almost).
So if you got assets they'd probably have you no problem at all. Same probably goes for Hungary (IMF bailout). Hungary's EU now so that's cool too.

Mark.

19. Maybe Aussie?
We'll be giving that even more serious consideration if that's the scenario but I don't really want to leave and neither does the husband and well... I am praying hard for an O for victory!! :D

It may make the mother-in-law consider staying rather than moving to Aussie to be with her boyfriend (she's leaving everything behind to live in Australia with the man she never met and she recently divorced her husband for and cheated on him with). She used to be different but she ditched some local friends and her husband for him and part of her decision about things is how everything is going in this country. Maybe she will reconsider if O wins...man...

My husband has and is considering a move to Australia but it won't be soon as his grandfather (her dad) lives an hour and a half away and has no other family around to help him (he's a widow and can hardly get around after a car accident 10 years ago ruined his knees so he can't bend them :( ). I think if... please forgive me for not mentioning or fathoming Bush 1 and Bush 2 winning...ugh! I believe that would push him further toward Australia...
