1. I've posted a part of this before...
and people seemed interested in it, oddly though, no one seems to be now.

Oh well...

2. God I hate that genre of music
But I also support people doing creative things so even though I don't like that style of music at all I'll give your thread a kick.

But seriously, go listen to some Robert Johnson.

5. Well, for gay men, this is the music that gets us laid.
:P Or at least that's how it's supposed to work.

10. I admit that the Grace Jones version of Demolition Man puts me in the mood to fuck
But generally that music just doesn't move me.

I hope it works for you though.

4. Sonar 7 Producer Edition and my Alesis Micron.
Sonar comes with tons of synths, but when I tried to use them in this song, they just didn't fit. The 80sish sounds of the Micron really fit this song well.

It's not finished in this form, but in my head I have the finish already. There is another theme that I had which went with the second section of music originally, and I'm going to use that as my bridge.

8. The chords on section a

the bass on section b
and the melody in both parts

Everything is still Micron, but it's just being played by the computer with MIDI.

7. sounds cool dude!
that's the micron? It sounds good, I've been thinking of getting one myself.

The track is cool. It sounds like you need to quantize some of the notes, because some of them are not exactly on the beat. Also, kick the drums up!

:hi:

9. It's the Micron's stock sounds with effects from Sonar...

All of the melody in part b was improvised on the spot, so I'll play that again later.

And the bass of part b was played in at slower tempo, I'll have to groove with the higher tempo of the main song. I know what you're saying, it just doesn't click for me. If you'd heard the original bass in part b played back at it's original tempo, it clicked, but of course it was too slow for the main song!

I prefer not to quantize, it sounds too mechanical.
