4. It's my Halloween costume.
I don't see where on that Newegg page one can add to cart or buy that HD. I'm confused and/or slow in the head.

9. Damn
And I see that the other one is only $10 more.

Not that I am in a position to actually buy one today... but still. I am AMAZED at how cheap you can get HD's these days.

13. I used to read "Star Trek" novels...
And I remember in one, Kirk was lambasting his crew about how Starfleet had added an extra 80 terabytes to the library computer just for this mission and he wanted to return with that extra memory FULL!!!

Back in 1990, I guess this was a lot. Now it's, what, $8,000? I think Starfleet can swing that...

14. $16,000
Assuming Starfleet would factor in fault tolerance with at least RAID 1

19. I think that's why the Trek TV writers switched to "quad" as their measure...
...of storage capacity. That way "400 Gigaquads" can mean anything from a megabyte to a yottabyte (depending on what century you're watching the show in).

18. I was surprised how low they've dropped their prices on a lot of things.
They actually beat New Egg by $30 on those drives and beat them pretty handily on CPU prices too.

I haven't been in there in a year or two, I dropped by last weekend (or the weekend before, I don't remember), and was shocked at how low the prices were.
