20. I tell you - 3-ways are painful... 4-ways are torture.

That is if you're on the phone as a customer care agent, and you have a double-team talking to you and you are then required to hand off to another party - and that double team asks you to remain on the line when you hand over the two-party to another party, then you have a four-way telephone conversation which gets crazy especially when the double-team that initiated the conversation start bickering amongst themselves, and gets worse when you and the 4th party try to clarify things for them.

That's why we have a rule at work: Taking care of our customers - 1 at a time.
