6. Please let the Liberals pull through with a minority...
Please! I'm really an NDP at heart, but they aren't winning this thing, and with the HarperCons saying that winning a second minority government provides them with a "strong mandate" to do whatever the fuck they want, I'm all for strategic voting.

7. Strategic voting is bullshit.
Very few ridings have tight enough races that strategic voting would be necessary for.

8. That's the problem...
I agree with strategic voting in theory, but in practice it won't really do much good.

9. I disagree with it in theory.
It's inherently anti-democratic. What we need isn't strategic voting, it's proportional representation.

10. On proportional representation, we agree. We need electoral reform badly.
I just don't have a problem with strategic voting in our current system.

It's so incessant.

:sarcasm:

Seriously, do most people here even know it's happening? (I watch Canadian TV, so I did!) In fact, I've lived in two states that border Canada, so I probably should be appointed ambassador when all is said and done.

23. Yeah, another futile vote from me
I live in Harper's riding, so any vote from me is strictly a symbolic gesture. I've also been represented in the past by Ralph Klein and Peter Lougheed. What did I ever do to deserve this?

I'm pulling for the NDP candidate, of course.

The other riding in my city went almost 75% NDP.

Atlantic Canada makes up a small portion of the House of Commons. The Conservatives got shut out of my province though. A little proud of that.
