4. Those turkeys were safe.
They were in a National Wildlife Refuge. There were about a dozen that ran across the path. We also so some raccoons and an armadillo, but I didn't get any pictures of those.

3. Thanks. It was a little scary being up there.
I had to hug the inside; I couldn't go near the rail.

5. Thanks alarimer!
:hi: These brought back some good memories (especially the lighthouse and view). We lived outside of Charleston thirty years ago....before Hilton Head was too developed.

7. It was cute.
I couldn't figure out what it was doing there. I know that young alligators remain with their mother for a couple of years. I guess the big one was it's mother but i don't know. The big one would see us and come over, as if looking for a handout (even though you aren't supposed to feed them, I guess someone did).

8. What do people feed them?

Don't they eat mostly fish?

I am thinking of applying for a job in Georgetown, SC -- sure looks like it would be pretty down there! :)

9. They feed them all kinds of junk mostly.
Although I never saw anyone feed this particular gator. Its behavior seemed to indicate that it has been fed in the past, simply by the way it saw us standing on the bank and made a beeline for us and then just hung out.
