Aaron Sorkin fans, listen up!

I've been cast in a local production of 'A Few Good Men'! Anybody in the Western Washington area, please come to see it when it opens in April at the Lakewood Players Theater. This is something I've been wanting to do for years: act in something written by AS. A dream come true! I'll be playing Lieutenant Sam Weinberg, the Kevin Pollack role from the film; The Tom Cruise character's second chair counsel. The rest of the cast is superb. Our Colonel Jessup is appropriately slimy and creepy. We expect a huge turnout from service personnel from Ft. Lewis and McChord Air Force Base. I hope as many DUers as possible will come to see it. B-)

I think your thread title is a little misleading for a vanity post. It doesn't invite people to open it up to read about you and congratulate you.

Anyway, how exciting! If they have a Web site or promo pics, please post those as the date draws near.

Was that the part you wanted? How many shows will you be doing? What does your practice schedule look like?

4. Yeah prolesunited. It's EXACTLY the part I wanted. In fact, I lobbied

hard for the part. I wouldn't have done such a thing if the director wasn't such a close friend of mine. I like Weinberg's character. If Kaffey is the brains and Galloway is the heart of the defense team, Weinberg is the conscience. John, the director, wanted me for either Kaffey ( I told him I was too old for the role) or Captain Ross (the Kevin Bacon character). I read for Ross and liked the part, but still wanted the role of Weinberg.

The show runs from April 2nd to April 25th. Performances Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.

...was Pollack channeling William Shatner in his performance in the movie version?

I don't see it. Pollack, a comedic actor, did a wonderful job in a dramatic role. Sure, he did well in the funny bits, but it required some real dramatic acting chops, as well.
