In the spirit of reclassifying jobs so that we can pretend that a pile of shit by any other name will suddenly smell like a rose, let's help Bush out and come up with some more reclassifications that will allow the Rove Spin Machine to make idiotic claims that are diametrically opposed to reality.

Seeing that Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, etc all sell DVD players and software, we should reclassify those jobs as "high tech jobs" although I am kinda waffling because they also sell clothes and reclassifying them as textile jobs would really help the battered textile jobs numbers.

Bank robbers are "payroll officers," and their getaway car drivers are in "transportation and logistics." Smugglers might also be in "transportation and logistics," but they might be in "warehousing." Fences can claim they are in "technical sales," especially if they managed to move some hot CD players or DVD players. Counterfeiters are definitely "B2B/B2C Consultants," as well as being skilled labour in printing and typesetting, as well as possibly high-tech workers in "desktop publishing."

Wow, think of the new respectability and concomitant social mobility Bush has afforded to the (former) criminal underclass! Thank you, o anti-poverty crusader!
