BE AWARE: There's a new movie coming out called An American Carol.
From imdb:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1190617/

"An anti-American filmmaker who's out to abolish the July Fourth holiday is visited by three ghosts who try to change his perception of the country."

The lead character is named: Michael Malone!

My wife and I saw the movie advertised this morning.

3. Ick.
The cast includes Kelsey Grammer, Jon Voight and James Wood. The "anti-American" filmmaker is portrayed by a heavy-set actor who sort of looks like a certain heavy-set filmmaker named Michael something-or-other. This will be right-wing glurge of the most puke-inducing variety.

4. Yep, it'll be sickening
But I kind of envy Michael Moore. I'd like to be famous enough that people started making movies about me. I bet this little flick will also help produce another Moore classic. I don't think he'll take it lying down.

5. I saw a trailer for this at Burn After Reading the other night
It looks just as nauseating and unfunny as it sounds.

Why can't Republicans do the comedy thing?

6. They're GREAT at comedy, except when they're trying to
I mean, Dan Quayle was a laugh a minute, and Ronnie was like the bumbling Roger Fox in Fox Trot.

7. Republicans aren't funny because
their idea of humor involves disparaging and making fun of people, like Rush imitating Michael Fox' Parkinsons, or Ann Coulter's nasty jokes about everybody. They can't figure out how to be funny without being mean.

8. How can they do a parody of Dickens when most of them ARE just like E. Scrooge?
Edited on Sun Sep-14-08 08:44 AM by alphafemale
Greedy. Caring only about money and profit. Caring nothing about their community or the less fortunate.

And to they really think liberals would want to ban the fourth of July?

How stupid is that?

I mean has anyone hear ever even met someone that expressed such an outlandish idea?

Sure. I've heard plenty of complaints about people setting off fireworks next door....

But banning the Fourth of July?

This movie is going to tank....BAD.

11. I'm surprised that even Kelsey Grammer would want to be in something that bad
:puke:

Sounds like a holiday classic, not. Jimmy Stewart is rolling in his grave.
