Saw "Tropic Thunder" today. I know the critics haven't been wowed,
but I liked it. Not Oscar material, but an amusing afternoon at the cinema. Honestly, I thought Downey's acting was pretty impressive.

It beat the hell out of "Mamma Mia!"!

1. Comedies are often underrated though and sometimes overlooked
I loved it too but others didn't. That's ok though.

4. I recently read a ten year anniversary of The Big Lebowski
And the critics at the time were lukewarm to its release as well and its pretty much a classic to my generation.

The trailers looked good and it's a great cast.

5. I liked it..it's like silly season movies such as Zoolander and Anchor Man
but with lots more to say about our culture, esp Hollywood, in it's satire/parody. Reminded me of Natural Born Killers in that way.

6. the Flick Filosopher liked it
so i'll give it a whirl. Usually I like what she likes, though i don't listen to critics for everything. I heard it was actually pretty witty, which is surprising considering it's a Ben Stiller movie
