Man, I've done stupid things while drinking and drank WAY too much

But even at 20 I knew it's not a GOOD idea to down a twixer of whiskey after ten beers. I feel bad for this kid. Bad way to find out.

Another sad thing is his friends just dropped him off. No way would my friends (and you must assume there was one sane one there) ever let me do something like that then drop me at home alone.

1. Poor guy

I think a lot of young people don't understand how dangerously polluted the bloodstream can get when drinking heavily. I had to drive my teen daughter to the ER years ago when I found her passed out on the couch, unresponsive. The docs had me sit by her bedside until 7 am while they gave her i.v. fluids to hydrate her, so dad got to stay up all night while she slept off her drunk in a hospital bed.

BAC of ~0.5. Poor kid. On the bright side, though, at least he didn't have to experience the epic hangover that he would have woken up to...

So, does "twixer" mean '26 oz' in Eskimo (or whatever people speak in Canada)?
