I had problems with my email and the help desk people told me the emailed me the solution

14. I had a similar Dilbertian moment
My work laptop could not boot because of a damaged hard drive. I called our helpdesk and in their infinite wisdom, they told me that I would have to go online to enter a trouble ticket. I was working remotely, with no way to boot the PC, let alone connect to our network to perform the requested task. I not-so-politely explained my situation and the helpdesk drone finally relented and entered the trouble ticket for me.

I'm so glad that I got out of our PC support organization before it was outsourced and the well-trained, common-sense using people that answered the phones were replaced with script reading drones.

15. I love it when people email you winrar, in rar format
or my favorite one was an idiot boss in IT, who was emailing everyone the winzip installer, zipped, with instructions on how to install winzip in a text document inside the zip and writing "Please see readme.doc inside the zip file for directions"
