Two-headed baby born in Bangladesh (graphic pic warning)
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 10:16 AM by emad
Police have been called in to control the crowds after a two-headed baby was born in Bangladesh.

More than 150,000 people - almost double the size of the crowds at Wembley Stadium - have surrounded a hospital after news spread that a baby boy had been born with two heads.

5. I just wonder how this is going to work out for this baby.
(or babies?) One body with 2 different minds. I don't want to say it is sad because it may not end up being a sad thing. But I think it will be a very hard.

9. At least they are both facing forward
At the worst, they will always be looking in the mirror to see each other.

Some twins, depending on how they are positioned, do pretty well.

8. There were two little girls born this way in this country
I remember seeing them on Oprah. They're conjoined twins, and it's an extremely rare form. They basically share the same body. I watched a special about them on Discovery Health, too, when they were about 13 years old. They went to school, played on a softball team, played piano, and did a lot of things normal children do. They were really quite amazing. It's very rare that children born this way live very long, though. Most don't survive infancy.

The last documentary I saw on them they were learning how to drive a car. It is amazing how they have learned to work together. IIRC, one controls one side of the body and the other controls the opposite side.
