Simon's second trip to the beach (pic heavy!)

I forgot my camera the first time - so here are some gratuitous cute puppy pics. :D

Simon is our eight-month-old rescue puppy. I'm sure many of you remember his saga of going through heart surgery - we still aren't sure how the heart defect might affect his lifespan, but you can see he's living it up while he's here!

Wrestling with brother Elmo

They made a new friend on the beach

And a couple of my handsome boy Elmo

2. Just a random dog on the beach

I think she lived nearby because she just came trotting over a dune, played a while, and then trotted off! :)

they just make me smile.

my favorite actual breed though is the dachshund, any size. Clowns of dogdom, those are

Funny you mention dachshunds though - Simon is supposedly schnauzer/dachshund. Couldn't tell from those long legs!!!

49. The epitome of pure, unadulterated joy. This is why I love going to the dog
beach around here, even though I don't have a dog. You can't help but smile watching them have so much fun. And then on top of it, Elmo and Simon are SO FREAKING ADORABLE! HOLY CRAP I AM IN LOVE! I can tell Simon is going to have a happy life with you, even if it isn't as long as you'd like.

I rescued two abandoned kittens 15 years ago. One of them had all kinds of problems, but he was tenacious and oh-so-cute. The day he died, his vet said to me "There is no way he would've made it 10 years without someone who really loved him and did everything to help him along." Everybody in the room was crying (including the vet and the assistant) as he drifted off. His brother, on the other hand, is 15 and still kicking. He is the sweetest, funniest, most adorable creature I've ever known. No matter how long he lives, it won't be long enough.
