Bob Costas comes across as an ass

His interview with McCutcheon just aired and his questions just bugged the shit out of me for some reason. "So, turning from your big win over Russia yesterday, how did you feel about the brutal stabbing death of your father in law?" Not an exact quote, but pretty close in tone I think.

2. Just aired here in the timezone that NBC forgot
It's a surreal situation to be sure, but Costas just rubbed me the wrong way. You can't not mention it but I think it would have been best had he simply acknowledged the event, maybe saying something about thoughts and prayers rather than launching into a series a questions.
