Yesterday they were standing on the side porch barking away and growling at something, but I could see nothing. Do you suppose they were having me on?

6. My girl mostly runs in her sleep
I'm not sure if she is rounding up stray sheep or herding cats, but she sure enjoys her dreams.

He's deaf now, so it doesn't happen anymore.

10. i have no problem with barking in their sleep...
or twitching their legs...

my little jack russell, sunshine, would open up his eyes and stare at me. like he wasn't even asleep. but he was.

THAT freaked me out...

11. runs, barks, whines...i suppose it depends on what's happening in their dreams.
having pets helps you realize that people aren't all that special, intellect-wise.

12. Not really. She does do a pseudo-barking, some whining,
and she also runs in her sleep.

Oh, and she snores. Once she snored so loudly she woke me up. I thought it was MrSG!

14. Yeah.
I'm guessing that dog dreams go faster than real time, as with people. I can see my dogs' paws twitch, presumably as they run in their dreams, and the little barks are barely vocalized, coming out as "Bloop"!

15. Simon wags his tail in his sleep!

I'd never seen a dog do that before we got him.

And yup, they both bark in their sleep... but it's not full-volume, it's sort of a muffled "woof." :D
