6. Well I guess so if you're related.
If it's a strange kid that might be a little gross.

9. She's adorable!
I felt the same way this afternoon, looking at my son eating a freezer pop. His face was sticky, his skin was tanned from being outside a lot, and he was wearing some scruffy cut-offs and a t-shirt. He looked like the epitome of a little boy on summer vacation. I wish I'd taken a picture. :)

17. Great pics... but...
Strawberries aren't sweet to everyone. There are some people, called "tasters," who taste mostly tartness when eating fresh strawberries. I'm one of those people. My wife buys fresh strawberries, and she eats them all, because they'll rot in the fridge before I'll eat one.

BUT if it's prepared in some way, like in ice cream, or sweetened somehow, I enjoy them. We once bought some fresh berries that tasted great to me, but most of the time I don't find them as appealing as most people would. They're not terrible, but they're too tart for me to really enjoy them.

My wife explained that when she was in high school biology classes there was a test that they all tried. A paper test trip was given to each student to put in their mouth. Most tasted nothing. A few tasted strong tartness. They had a genetic trait that changes the way they taste things. My wife says she pities me for not being able to enjoy strawberries, but she also enjoys eating my share. :)

Same goes for raspberries, and a few other berries.

19. AwwwWWWW!
What a cutie! Can she marry my son? Hee.

Reminds me of last year, when I took Mr. MG strawberry picking. He ate more than we took home (of course!) and was covered in dust and his face was beyond sticky. But he was happy.

We missed strawberry-picking season this year--were in Cali visiting relatives. Can't wait for next June!
