So, do you have special plans for the weekend?
I'm usually a hermit, although I do go to a lesbian bar on Sunday nights just to remain somewhat sociable. I hate loud music and big crowds, thus why I pick Sunday when it is quiet.

Tomorrow night, I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant with an old friend that I have not seen since forever. Their salmon dish with raspberry sauce is to DIE for! I am really looking forward to it.

10. I like to go fishing too. It's very relaxing.
And I like to bring along a grill and have a cookout too. :)

3. Not sure.
Might see a show at the state fair.

They have a lesbian bar where you are? I wouldn't mind one here, but I kind of suspect my favorite bar doubles as a lesbian bar already. Just my guess about the crowd.

13. LOL! Yes, there is a lesbian bar in Omaha. There are 2 now, but I've never been to the new one.
Most of the gay bars here are for men, though. :)

15. The gay bars here I know about
Edited on Fri Aug-08-08 01:33 AM by Radical Activist
are for men. And I've wondered if they double as lesbian bars or if there are lesbian bars too discrete for me to know about. But not being gay or lesbian, I haven't been curious enough to find out.
Although about half the women I've dated have also dated women, I've never purposely sought out a Bi girlfriend and don't plan to.
Not that you asked about it or anything. Its late and I'm rambling.

19. My experience is that men's bars are just men's bars.
I've been to a few, but the "entertainment" is just not my cup of tea, yanno?

5. I'm kid-free this weekend and don't have to work at either of my jobs
I have a stack of DVDs and books. I'm hoping to spend a lot of time vegging, catching up on sleep and maybe a ladies night out with PeaceNikki. My weekend starts in 5 hours and even though my plans aren't very special I'm really looking forward to it.

34. oh wow! I used to live in Inglewood which is close to East Nashville. Where is 5 Points?
Down near the river?

I should know but I daresay it wasn't called that back in 1978 - 1983 when I lived there. Before that I lived in Madison so know that area pretty well.

Looks like a bunch of fun though.

38. It's where Woodland street starts to split off, close to the East Branch Library....
...i.e., the white marble building across from East High School. You ought to try and make a trip up here sometime if you get the chance. You wouldn't recognize the neighborhood now. It's really built up, but in a good way, i.e., repugs not welcomed.

16. My sister and family just came from out of town recently to visit the zoo.
The Henry Doorly zoo, matter of fact. They arranged plans with other family members, and their kids had a great time.

I've already been there a hundred times, and didn't consider a 4 hour walk in 100 degree weather my idea of a good time, so I stayed home.

We all took my mother out to dinner for her birthday the night before, so I did have plenty of time to visit with them while they were here.

12. I'm packing up for my vacation.
Monday morning my mother and I are leaving bright and early to go meet my aunt in Belmont for brunch before my flight.

I need to get my house really clean before I go, because I had to change plans and my neat freak mother is coming over and catsitting. If the place isn't neat as a pin, she won't say anything but I'll be a bit embarrassed by it anyhow. And in any case, it's nice coming home to a tidy house.

:)

I must confess something. I have apparently become dyslexic in my old age, because I always saw the name as "flevgan". Till about a month ago when someone pointed out my error.

fl-vegan. Well, duh!

Enjoy your vacation!

visit my son and granddaughter and my Dad :)

It's about a 5.5 hour drive but the weather looks lovely and I'm well rested. Always looking forward to time I can spend with my Husband, away from the renovations on the house and all that goes with it.

:hi:

Have a great time with your friend Lil Missy!

33. potentially, Hip Pocket Theater, door knocking for our Legislative Rep's campaign,
grocery shopping (which involves obtaining a free pound of chicken breast and some free dry rub seasonings),
doing some house stuff,
apply for jobs on various websites,
go to church and Sunday school,
laundry
watch a DVD or two so I can send them back to NetFlix

The only definite immovable things are the door knocking, church, and the grocery, however.

so unless sitting in seat 1C is 'special' I would have to say no...and what's worse is my wife and daughters won't be home in time from their special weekend in the mountains for me to see them before I have seat 1A to Boston!

41. Its my moms Birthday
but she went camping with my sister, uncle and aunt while my dad and I stayed behind. I had to work all weekend and my dad just did not want to go. Besides that my boyfriend asked me to go ice skating with him at the local hockey rink this weekend, and the annual rib fest is going on down town and in my local out-lying community outside of town their are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the discovery of Oil by christening a replica of one of the Oil Derricks that used to dot the land out here.

But as I said I have to work so I will be selling beer at a grocery store all weekend while I wish I could be camping with my mom and spending a romantic night with my boyfriend.
