Something to give me hope in my family history

For those of you kindly supporting me through this terrifying time, here is an update.

I am going for an MRI and biopsy of the lump in my breast next week. But here is something encouraging I didn't know before.

My father said that my mother (who died of lung cancer) had several benign lumps in her breasts, and it was in fact a family thing on her side that I didn't know about.

Her lung cancer came from her being a super heavy smoker, so it was in no way related. He said that these lumps that she had were "fatty". I have a "fatty" lump in my lower back so, I am tending to be a lot less nervous because it would make sense that is what this probably is.

Although I still realize "the other thing" is possible I feel more able to look at the positive side now. So please keep the good vibes and prayers coming.
