Imagine this: The noise of the Brockton Fair blares around you as a metal bar lowers onto your lap. Your cart of eight people begins spinning, then the metal floor below the cart starts spinning and finally the main platform below the metal floor starts spinning.
For some, it's a thrill.
For others, "Storm," one of The Brockton Fair's three new rides, is too much too much for about three people per day estimates the ride operator Joshua Britton, 21.
"It spins more than most rides, it's more thrilling, it's something you don't see everyday," said Britton who is happy that a new ride has been added to the fair. "It's like a giant Mix Master when it gets going," said Rick Reithoffer, who owns Reithoffer Shows, the company that brings rides to the Brockton Fair.
"What I liked about it was the light show on it. It's really spectacular at night," he said.
"The storm is a brand new ride that just came from Colorado," he said. "There's only one other of those in the country and that's out in St. Louis, Mo." The Brockton Fair has more than 50 rides and three new rides this year including an Italian roller coaster called the "Wild Mouse." A ride on Storm takes four tickets, which cost $1.25 each.
