The L Word
Does anyone on DU watch the show "The L Word"? I recently began watching the show and I have recently finished watching season 5. I would like to discuss season 5 with people. I really liked season 5 and am very happy the characters Bette and Tina got back together. I do have a question about the ending of the season and the character of Jenny. At the end of the season one of the scenes showed Jenny crashing the wrap party for the movie she attempted to direct. At the wrap party Jenny stated that she had just realized she was in love with someone. After that announcement Jenny walked in on her friend Shane and the woman (Niki) she had dated, but had falling out with. It is my opinion that Jenny had realized that she was in love with Shane. In an earlier episode when the women went on the Breast Cancer bike ride Niki asked Shane why she (Shane) had never hooked up with Jenny. That seemed to be a major issue for Niki in that she brought up the issue more than once. I think that may have been a little bit of foreshadowing. In addition, in the last scene Jenny tells Shane that Shane broke her heart. I guess it could break a person's heart if their best friend slept with a person they had been dating even if the friend may have thought the two had broken up. Finally, I think Shane is the person Jenny realized she was in love with because throughout the series Shane has always been the person Jenny ran to when she had a problem. So what do others?
