I think I've made a VERY BAD mistake.
I fed the dogs last night, and for the heck of it, I put a little milk on their dry food. Did the same thing again this morning, because that jug was almost empty. Just now I fed them both, and they're both looking at me patiently, as if to say, "WEll, where's the milk?".

Have I messed up? :P

2. Put chicken broth on it. They'll be just as happy

Like you, dogs like it wet.

18. And use low sodium CB
Look at labels on the can. Too much sodium can be bad for animals as well as humans.

20. Wealways try to buy low-sodium, when it's available.
My family has a history of high blood-pressure and heart disease, so it's never to soon to start watching those things.:)

7. My oldest cat demands it every morning...
I almost had her broken of the habit until my mom cat sat for me... she gave her milk in the morning. She said it was grandma's right to spoil her granddaughter!

So, every morning, the second my feet hit the floor, she starts whining and won't stop until she gets it.

9. Stay away from milk
Milk gives most of them diarrhea.

12. They've had nice, solid stools.

Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to use that as a reason to avoid giving it to them. They both have guts like galvanized pipes, I'm afraid. :P

17. For now
It's just what happened to my pets when I gave them milk. As soon as I stopped they became regular again.

10. If your dogs are like my Basset Hound
they will never eat dry food again, after 1 mistake.

Hint: you can use anything in the fridge to flavor kibble.

I even used spaghetti sauce, that was her favorite.

11. Cherry Twitzlers - I started giving the dog ..........
one a night as a special treat. He's old and I figured what harm could it do. Well, when it gets to be around 9:00 he goes over to the candy tin (I keep a big can of candy by the chair in the living room) and starts to wimper until I give him his licorice. Then he jumps back up on the couch to his place.
I really wonder who keeps who around here.

14. Apples
We both like apples, and when we have one we MUST give each dog a slice, or be stared at mournfully the entire time we're munching. The cat only gets that way with grapes.

13. Well, actually, you should not feed your dogs milk.
In my experience, whenever I have fed my dogs any milk products, it would upset their stomachs. Hey, buy them Frosty Paws. It's a great milk substitute for and they think they are eating ice cream.

It's shelf-safe, so I can throw some in the car for when I go to work. I wonder if they'd like it just as well?

19. It depends
If you want them to eat the food dry most of the time, then you need to leave it. If they get hungry enough, they'll eat it, even when it's not a treat.

Sometimes, as my dog got older, I'd put a little warm water over the food, sometimes a little leftover grease/juice from browning meat, sometimes a little chicken stock. He'd still eat it plain, but he did like it softened up a bit.

21. No begging...
It's the ol' Cracker Jack syndrome...
I used to throw some left-overs in my dogs bowl...he got spoiled...
would dump out the bowl full of dry food looking for the "goodies".
Took forever to get him to stop...all my fault.
